There are so many of the proverbial niggers out there, why fight each other for selfish reasons (whether the reasons should be considered or not) and help a nigger out.

First of all – the disrespect towards religion that many gay people have demonstrated is shameful. Keep in mind, though, that this is on TV. The vast majority of gay people live completely ordinary, apolitical lives – and yes, many of them do go to church or at least have religious beliefs.

And OK so gay sex might be a sin. But I believe that our own greed and indifference to suffering is far worse a sin than buttfucking. Here in America we have sooooo much food we have to think about NOT eating. This is absolutely not the case for much of the world.

I did both of these things last night, and I want you to tell me which you think is worse:

1. I got drunk and ordered a pizza. I did this with money I could have given to a starving child.

2. I cuddled with my boyfriend of 4 years.

One of the major contradictions in my life is being Catholic and gay. I understand that the Bible does have passages that condemn homosexuality. But the overall message of the Gospel is love thy neighbor, right? Why focus in on the fellatio when there are starving people to be fed, sick to be cared for, and people in prison to visit?

I think Jesus were alive today he wouldn’t have a problem with gay people. If Jesus were alive today he would be that smart dude from the trailer park. I mean think about it. First of all, he was from Galillee, which in those days was like West Virginia. He spoke Aramaic and – I don’t think – he know Hebrew. All the important Jews – the Pharisees, the Sadducees, the priests, the money changers (haha) spoke Hebrew. His dad was a carpenter. He hung out with fishermen (middle class ppl) and a stray prostitute. Like any good patriot, he was opposed to Roman occupation of Israel. But Jesus was gifted in many ways. He was a diamond in the rough. I don’t know – if he was alive today he probably would have some gay friends.

Seeing the gay people on TV singing We Shall Overcome about the Prop 8 is sooo corny. There are obviously some gays that think marriage is a big deal. But most gays don’t care that much. I don’t want to get married and I don’t know any gay guys that do. Marriage just seems pointless to me. What you are seeing on TV is like a small fraction of politically active gays.

Also you can blame the Prop 8 thing more on the Mormons than on blacks. The media created this whole blacks vs. gays thing, but it was the Mormons who funded and spearheaded the whole thing.

The way I think about it – blacks tend to be more upfront about their homophobia. White people are a little more polite on the surface but then they donate money to anti-gay stuff.

Fuck, even I realize how grandiose that sounds.
