BROUGHT A TEAR TO MY EYE – GONNA SEE THIS

Don’t get me wrong, I love Canada. OK, maybe not as much as Gavin and Beckles love Canada, but c’mon, I’m only human!

I was back there recently, and came across a full page ad for a new Canadian feature film that you haven’t heard of and won’t ever see, called One Week. (insert theater run joke here). The movie was opening that weekend and the only quotes they could get for the film were the culled from YouTube commenters like puttydutty123 who said “I am definitely going to watch this”. If you’ll look closely, you’ll notice that maybe 1% of the “glowing reviews” are from people who’ve actually seen the film. My all time favorite (if i had to pick favorites), is from esteemed critic MMarie079 who poignantly and succinctly said “Brought a tear to my eye. Gonna See this”. My point is, “damn this looks good” and “yeah…and he looks good!”.

Ha ha that reminds me of this dude that came into my store last week (I work at a video store) and said: “Hey man, do you have Eraserhead? That movie is so awesome. I’ve never seen it, but I know it’s really awesome”. He was wearing John Lennon glasses with little hologram american flags in them.

STREET CARNAGE is mostly a website that features street fashion critiques called STREET BONERS and compilations of bad television called TV CARNAGE. The site also has a blog, a radio show, and regularly features video shorts made by Gavin and Derrick.

STREET CARNAGE is also a live presentation you can have in your town where Gavin shows a Street Boners "Best Of" and Derrick shows his latest TV Carnage endeavors.

STREET BONERS will eventually be compiled into a huge book which will feature hundreds of pages of Boners as well as contributions from Chloe Sevigny, Debbie Harry, Fred Armisen, Tim & Eric and many more.

Derrick makes videos for various bands as well as his own movies. His most recent project is called "Cop Movie" and is comprised of about three dozen different cop movies and he also has a workout video coming out that is made up of a million disgusting workout tapes. Gavin does freelance writing for TV, film and magazines and they both do funny acting stuff as well as other hilarious video shit we'll tell you about later. They are both dicks.
