Cerebral Ballzy destroyed the universe with Japanther and Ninjasonik the other night. I can’t find pictures of it though so here’s some from the show they did at The Bodega. This is easily the greatest live band around right now.

this is the easily the most photographed show ever. this band is good- too bad they have an entourage of 18 year old girls with expensive cameras that DON’T STOPPED TAKING PICTURES til everyone in the audience has bloody eyes and is convulsing with seizure. Lose the lamo entourage. NYU RULEZ

Haven’t we all seen at least 50 bands just like this? I mean, they do it well , but like are the just getting hype because 3/4 of them are black?
I guess it’s fun, but.. i dunno. I enjoyed them but still don’t get the SUPER HYPEEEE. I guess it’s all about knowing the right people, another modern example being passion pit.

I really love the presence that CB brings to everything they do. They shove that elctropop “brooklyn” bullshit down your fucking throat and make songs about wiping your ass with t-shirts. lo-fi punk fun should never be hated on yet these hipster lamewads have to find SOMEthing wrong.

Seems far likelier than the idea that they’re getting hype because people think “Cerebral Ballzy” is a clever or catchy name.
This looks like a mosh pit of endomorphic whites exulting in the idea that blacks can play punk rock as well as be president.
