JJ GOT LIVE RATX

RTX new album cover

Let me just preface this review by saying RTX are one of my favorite bands in existence. They really can do no wrong in my eyes and their records will always be constantly playing in my house. That said, you may remember Jennifer Herrema’s last band, Royal Trux. RTX is sort of like them except about a million times more shredding. It seems rare these days that a band manages to make a whole record full of hits (with the exception of say, Motörhead and The Kills) but I knew before the album even reached my hands that every song would be completely amazing. And I was right. Calling this their best work to date would be a record reviewing cliché but it is so true! If you like your rock’n'roll totally ripping, like the kind that makes you wanna ride your moto upstate at 125mph at 4am with your girl on back on your way to shoot guns, make out and drink a fifth in the woods while the sun rises (ok maybe that’s just what it makes me and my old man wanna do) then you should probably pick up the new album on Drag City in October.

RTX the band

If you want a taste of the new shit right now, check out the single ‘Badstreet USA’ on the Volcom Ent Vinyl Club .

  5. parp Says:

Most annoying person ever. Her blog appears to have been written by an 8th grader. I have never seen anyone try harder in my life to seem “cool” or “edgy”. Simply proving the theory that nothing cool has ever come from Florida.

  6. nothing cool Says:

    what about morbid angel?

  7. adolf hitler Says:

okay, granted, not much of anything cool comes out of florida, but i generally think that this blog (tad precious though it may be at times) is at the very least marginally better than, oh i don’t know, 90 percent of the internet. and oh yeah, guess what? what does that make the rest of us? you guessed it: douches who anonymously write about stuff they claim to hate…on the internet! whee!

  8. Vegetable Lasagna Says:

    The Kills?!?

  9. sanna Says:

parp - setting aside that you’ve gone straight to personal insults about the author of a review instead of commenting on the subject on hand (RTX which you seemed to have missed completly which only reasures me that you’re opinions are complete fuckwad) you couldn’t be more wrong.

have you visited the internet before or is this your first trip to the world wide web?

ill give you an insight. its filled with pussy / people searching for pussy, never getting any irl and stupid chicks blogging about the exact same outfits. jen has a prespective that is a drop kick in the face of shitty little shannons, sarahs and samanthas who all think that the new season of (any generic reality show about rich kids in orange county) is just SOOOOO awsome and that ready ripped jeans for 200 bucks is totally rad!

and second of all SHE WOULD KICK ALL OF YR PUNY ASSES IN A GAME OF GOOD TASTE!!!!

Jocks think it’s gay to care about fashion but her Steve Maddens say a thousand words, none of which I want to hear come out of her mouth.
