This was done on their tour bus right before a recent New York show.
Mike discussing how shitty people are at covering “Institutionalized” because they can never figure out where the first chorus comes in.
-
My band fucking up “Institutionalized” because we couldn’t figure out where the first chorus comes in.
Mike telling a long-ass story about how his fellow paper route buddy Bill Paxton totally fucked up his first audition. Do not watch this if you don’t have a song’s worth of time to hear about the guy from Big Love when he was a teenager.

There is no way you need all those buttons. That’s more shit than a fucking plane. What percentage of those dial does the sound man actually use?

In case you’re wondering where all your friends will end up; Twenty years ago, these guys were all playing in New York hardcore bands. Today they’re Terry Richardson’s associate, a real estate mogul, and a vintage clothing store owner.
(Seth’s old band, Glenn’s old band – Cavity Creeps)
Suicidal starting the set out with “You Can’t Bring Me Down.”
OK so here’s the radio show…

PS: This joke cost me about $3,000. The hardest part was getting the WalMart XXXXL shirt on him. I had to rip it up the back and then have velcro sewn on so I could re-attach it after putting on each sleeve individually. Explaining that to Puerto Rican tailors was a chore that made Dr. Doolittle look like Helen Keller.
He’s pouring out beer for his dead homies even though he’s dead which is ironic, right?

Thanks for the shitty music, but how comes the “real estate mogul” dresses like a 16 year-old???

You know, when I hear about the trouble people have trying to cover Institutionalized, it reminds me of the lyrics from Institutionalized by ST:
Sometimes I try to do things and it just doesn’t work out the way I wanted to.
I get real frustrated and I try hard to do it and I take my time and it doesn’t work out the way I wanted to.
It’s like I concentrate real hard and it doesn’t work out.
Everything I do and everything I try never turns out.
It’s like I need time to figure these things out.

I auditioned for a play and used Institutionalized for my monologue and got the part!

LOL @ Infectious Grooves…funk rock was so in back then! Kinda makes you wonder what the “I can’t believe I was into that” is of today.

Damn I miss 70’s punk and 80’s hardcore. And yes, James, I’m old like all of the other people here except you. Get over it or move on.
