STREET CARNAGE: You just got back from Canada right?
SCROOBIUS PIP: Yeah, yeah, we literally just crossed the border a few hours ago.

Our first time in Montreal and Toronto were awesome. There’s been some great hip-hop that’s come out of Canada, like Buck 65…
Did you do two nights at Mercury instead of one big night somewhere else to look all sold out and shit? What’s with that?
Ha. The sound at Mercury is always good and it’s a good vibe, and it all gets crushed in. So we’d rather do two nights there than one big night at Bowery Ballroom or whatever.
I gotta be honest. Touring sounds like a total drag. The Mötley Crüe days of groupies and all night coke are over so it’s just gig, get in the van, drive all night, gig, get in the van, step and repeat.
Yeah, it’s September 12th to October 4th with no days off in between gigs. We’re careful though, because touring has been the downfall of many bands. We make sure to always get separate rooms and shit like that so we can just relax and not be at each other’s backs constantly. It works.
