The opposite of cargo shorts and flip flops is the true “greatest generation,” the ones born before the concept of self or adolescence. They woke up put on their pants one leg at a time just like everyone else, then their tie, then their hat, then they went to work. We could stand to learn a lot from this era of fashion.

This man speaks the truth. Take a look at the most dung-poor sharecroppers from a century ago, and they’re all wearing suits and hats. These days, people think nothing of walking out the door wearing skidmarked underwear and a colostomy bag.

I wish my grandpa didn’t die when my dad was 4, and my other grandpa didn’t die when I was in 1st grade. I’m sure they would be wearing the sickest old man suits all da time.
