I dunno who actually came up with this theory but I heard about it from Dan Savage, and it seems right to me. The theory is that the seemingly non-sexual fetishes (like invisible woman) come from someone’s libido clicking on and then the next sexual imagery that makes an impression on them forms their fetish(es) for life. For me it was this babysitter we had who had what is commonly termed “blowjob lips” (see also Angelina Jolie.)
So don’t be so surprised by people’s weird-ass fetishes. And it’s not just men, you’re either pretending you don’t have any weird fetishes or you have avoided realizing what they are.
