holy shit is that true. korea was literally rubble 50 years ago and 12 hour work days (with nightly six hour soju, porkbelly sessions) are what made them the relatively wealthy country they are today. they just haven’t managed to get out of that habit. and they just glaze over when you try to tell them that the mental development of young people is retarded by lack of sleep.

It isn’t just Koreans; it’s a lot of Asians, particularly eastern Asians, Indians and Sri Lankans. They work all the time and they get mad at you when you just want to chill. They try to manipulate you into thinking that you’re not going anywhere or that you’re lazy.
Do they realize that white people just have to sleep more than they do to look good? Did they ever think that we might be more successful when we sleep more and so are more relaxed at the job interview? They work hard, but they’re kind of shallow.

white people look good? koreans on average have way better skin, lower bmi, better muscle tone (though that is decreasing due to love of shitty western food and starcraft addiction,) and look a hell of a lot younger than us. and despite the flat face comments, there are just more hot women here on average. a little samey maybe, but they think the same of westerners.
